Penboy, in collaboration with 3650 Plastics Organization commemorated World Environment Day with a Spoken Word piece titled “Nature’s PLEA”, and a cleanup campaign.
This piece is to remind us all of how beautiful nature is when we take care of it. But when we are negligent, it is dreadful.
“Nature gives, nature takes
Nature stands, nature falls
Nature blooms, nature fades
Nature is all loving
But when pushed to the wall
Nature can be dreadful“
World Environment Day is observed every year on July 05th. It was observed in 2024 under the theme “Our Land, Our Future”.
Other than releasing a spoken word piece, Penboy equally engaged himself with the organization’s cleanup campaign at Bojongo, Douala; in a bid to crown the day, put all the preaching into practice by doing what needs to be done, and be exemplary.
This, was as we know it, World Environment Day, 2024. All about this project and its activities were documented and has contributed to the recorded production of a short documentary on how the day unfolded.
