It is an honor to have been invited by the Forest Creative Loft to perform at the symposium of it’s project ‘Going Back Through Memory Lane’ which took place on Saturday January 20th, 2024.

Going back through memory lane is a project that was initiated to encourage a dialogue in response to the current situation of political and social crisis in the North West and South West part of Cameroon, the region commonly known as the English-speaking part of the country .

Due to the lack of spaces for conversation and information on the causes that led to this crisis, and also the lack of transparency about what is currently happening, The Forest Creative Loft initiated the creation of a digital platform that could serve as a collective digital archive including historical documents collected in different personal and institutional archives, inter and intra generational testimonies.

After performance moments: Posing with the Founder of the Forest Creative Loft & Madam Edith Kahbang Walla, popularly known as Kah Walla, a popular Cameroonian politician, entrepreneur and social activist

The symposium was therefore a gathering to present the fruits of this year-long research & equally provide a safe space for civilians, historians, politicians & artists to speak up.

The project is being implemented in partnership with StudioX DOUALA, The University of Birmingham & Rights For Time.
